Proven Ways Incorporated has been in business since 1993 and was established to provide Professional Training to the different types of Emergency Services Communications, including Police, Fire, Ambulance, Security Services and 9-1-1. The focus is on Professionalism, Best Practices and Liability Issues.

Proven Ways has years of experience in the Communications Industry and we have delivered training throughout North America. We have also been invited to offer our expertise and speak about issues that improve the profession of the Emergency Services Communicator, Internationally.

“Proven Ways is a member of a number of organizations that are related to Emergency Services and Public Safety Communications including APCO (Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials), NENA (National Emergency Number Association) and AFCO (Association of Fire Communicators of Ontario). Ron Welbourn, co-owner of Proven Ways is a past president of the NENA Ontario Chapter and currently the only Canadian representative on the NENA Institute Board. The NENA Institute Board is responsible for the administration and development of the Emergency Number Professional Certification Program that is changing the recognition of Professionals in the Industry.

The Proven Ways team of Instructors expertly delivers training to both communications operators and responders on proper protocols and technologies that are changing the world of emergency communications. These changes have caused their already stressful ever changing environment to become highly specialized. Proven Ways also provides Training to address some of the personal needs of a Communicator in relation to Human Behaviour and Personal Care.

Proven Ways is currently in a partnership with two different colleges in Ontario. Georgian College, (Orillia Campus,) where the Telecommunications Training Centre is currently the Proven Ways 'home base' and Fleming College, (McRae Campus,) located in Peterborough. Proven Ways has trained thousands of students in courses ranging from a one day technical presentation to much longer intense certificate courses.

Proven Ways also has the flexibility to attend any area, on or off site from our college partners. For technical training Proven Ways will work with a vendor or Agency’s IT people to develop and deliver the best training possible. Training can be accommodated in this way to make it more affordable to an agency or agencies, (dependant on class size,) by avoiding student expenses such as travel, meals and accommodations.
